Find Your Art and You Will Find Your Heart
What do you think of when you read that? Have you found something that fills you with joy just thinking about it? Have you found something you are so passionate about that you HAVE to DO IT?? Could you talk about it until you drive your friends crazy?? Maybe it’s painting, or teaching, or singing, or writing, or performing, or maybe it’s even accounting, or engineering, or driving, or skiing… the point is, it is YOUR ART. And when you’ve found your passion, you want to do it every day and share it with others as much as possible!! Right?? ……..
Well this is how I feel about creating beautiful art projects and teaching others how to experience these feelings by creating their own successfully…
Soooo….. I am excited to announce that I am in the process of building my own app called “Find Your Art”!! , which will host my own library of my FAVORITE arts & crafts projects of all time! Included will be video tutorials with me teaching all my favorite summer camp projects, including yarn, beads , acrylic & watercolor painting , dot painting & leaf prints, macrame, shrink plastic, melted crayon art, alcohol ink,Tie Dye!! and so much more!!
But that’s just the beginning…the FYA library will also include home decor tutorials showing easy step by step instructions to make your D.I.Y. dreams come true!!…like flipping used furniture into masterpieces, building & painting tables, barstools ,signs, lamps, & clocks, including printable pdf instructions and supply lists with each tutorial.
And, a third level in my app will be just for teachers!!Including step by step instructions and video tutorials on how to prep and present EVERY project to groups of 10 or more successfully !! How to connect with students of all ages and inspire them to use their creativity to help them find survival skills to remain peaceful and calm in our challenging and stressful world.
New projects will be added all the time as I create them and the FYA community requests them. I plan to go LIVE in the app at least twice a month to discuss project tips, answer community questions, host a “paint along with Barb”, chat about favorite art supplies, or present a requested project. A community open comment page will be included to help everyone find an artsy place to hang out together in our Find Your Art group. I also hope to host a couple LIVE events every year to help bring our FYA community together so we can connect and build closer friendships, and support each others artistic ideas & pursuits.
